These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and FamilyJar ("we," "us," or "our").

FamilyJar is a family budget management application that allows users to:

Create and manage budget categories
Track expenses and income
Set and monitor savings goals
Share financial information with family members
Receive notifications about budget status

3. Account Registration

To use FamilyJar, you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete registration information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Family Sharing

FamilyJar allows you to invite family members to share financial data. By using this feature:

You consent to sharing your financial data with invited family members
You are responsible for inviting only trusted individuals
You understand that family members will have access to shared budget information
You can remove family members or leave a family at any time

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any illegal purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
Transmit malware or harmful code
Impersonate others or provide false information
Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content, is owned by FamilyJar and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our written permission.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of the financial data you enter into the App. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data as necessary to provide the service.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter.

FamilyJar offers free and paid (Pro) subscription tiers:

8.2 Pro Subscription

Unlimited budget categories
Unlimited savings goals
Advanced analytics and reports
Priority customer support

8.3 Billing Terms

Payment: Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
Cancellation: You can cancel anytime through your App Store or Google Play account settings
Refunds: Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies
Price Changes: We may change subscription prices with reasonable notice; price changes will not affect your current billing period

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
Accuracy or completeness of information
Uninterrupted or error-free operation
Security of data transmission

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FAMILYJAR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FamilyJar, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination:

Your right to use the App will immediately cease
You may request a copy of your data before deletion
Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which FamilyJar operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
